PXL8R

C#, C++, Unity, Arduino

What it is

PXL8R is a game designed and built to be played on a wall of LEDs using Atari joysticks. The game logic is written in C#, built in Unity. An Arduino manages I/O, translating joystick input into keyboard keystrokes. The game itself is running on a laptop, and a 3rd party app maps the window on the screen to the LED strips. This was one of those fun hack jobs where you just have to slap a lot of sh*t together and make it go, and the result is delightful.

PXL8R gallivanted around Austin, TX during SXSW 2015 in partnership with the RVIP Lounge, a mobile karaoke RV.
